Forehead Lift

A brow lift is also called a forehead lift and is a commonly performed facial cosmetic procedure. It can be done alone or along with a facelift or blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). It is usually performed in people who are between the ages of 35 and 60 but can be performed in younger people who have deep frown lines or older people with wrinkles of the forehead that they are not happy with. You can get hematoma formation, which are large blood clots beneath the surface of the skin. The hematoma can go away using local heat. In other situations, it must be surgically removed before proper healing can take place.

Complications

More serious complications include having a poor result and looking worse than before or having permanent numbness of the forehead if the doctor cuts important nerves to the affected area. Injury to muscles can occur so you are unable to make the proper facial moves you would normally make or the look can be lopsided. Another unfavorable look is the constant look of surprise on the face that some people get when the brow lift was too extreme.
